WHAT do we ship?
Although we ship everything (except non-inflatable boats/kayaks and ammunition), some items require additional shipping charges due to size, weight or quantity ordered. The final shipping cost will show up on the payment page.
How quickly do we fulfill your order?
We try our very best to get orders submitted before 12:00 noon Pacific Time shipped out the same day. Orders placed after noon on Friday and through the weekend are shipped out on Monday. During the holidays or during high-volume sales, it may take us one extra day to ship your order. We will inform you by phone or e-mail if we expect any delays in shipping beyond two business days.
While we strive to have all items in stock at the time of purchase, on occasion, an item will sell out before we can adjust inventory levels. In the event that an item is purchased that is not in stock, the customer will be immediately notified to resolve the issue.
Your card will not be charged until your item ships out. As soon as your order is shipped, you'll receive an e-mail with a UPS or USPS tracking number.
Where do we ship to?
We ship anywhere within the United States, including to APO addresses. However, orders sent to Hawaii, Alaska, or APO's must fit within a US Post Office Flat-Rate Priority Mail box. If you're not sure if your order will qualify, please contact us by e-mail. We do not ship outside of the United States at all.
How do we ship?
Most orders are sent via UPS. Some orders may be sent via USPS, depending on the size/weight of the order and where it is being sent. Either way, you'll receive an e-mail with a tracking number. After UPS and USPS receives the merchandise the carrier assumes all risk and liability.
How do we handle returns?
All items purchased have a satisfaction guarantee of 30 days with the exception of swimwear, books, mouth calls and scopes that have been mounted on a gun. You are required to request an authorization from customer service for any type of return. Unfortunately there will be no authorization for returns after 30 days from the day you receive your package. In the event of a manufacturer defect you will need to contact the manufacturer after 30 days. Due to the type of products we sell, all returns must be in, like new condition, and all originally packaging must be included. If an item is returned or refunded please allow 14 days for the exchange to take place.
To make a return one must first e-mail email@example.com with a description of your reason for return and order's confirmation number. Once the claim is deemed returnable you will receive a valid return authorization number (RA #) from Mel Cotton's to place visibly on the outside of the package you are returning.
How do we handle exhanges?
If the customer would like to exchange an item for any reason, the customer is responsible for shipping the unwanted item back to us, plus the cost of shipping the new item to the customer, even if it would normally qualify for free shipping.
What if we ship the wrong item?
If we made a mistake (rare, but anything is possible) and sent you the wrong item or forgot an item on your order, or if an item was damaged during shipment, we will cover the return shipping cost, either as a refund or with a pre-paid shipping label. However, if an item simply didn't fit right or the customer changed their mind, the customer is responsible for packaging and returning the item.
Web Refunds Will Only Be Given If:
1. Return Authorization (RA) number must be requested 30 days from delivery
2. Item is accompanied with valid Mel Cotton's Return Authorization (RA) number obtained by contacting firstname.lastname@example.org
3. Item is accompanied with a copy of your original order confirmation.
3. Item is new, unused, and deemed by Mel Cotton's to be in re-sellable condition
